Good to know

Is it really free?

Yes — completely free and open source under the MIT license. No ads, no paid tier, no account, no telemetry. The full source code is on GitHub.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It's a single ~100 KB executable. Download the zip, unzip it, and run AutoTyperStudio.exe. It runs on the .NET Framework that already ships with Windows 10 and 11.

Does it work in games?

In game chat and text boxes, yes — it sends real Windows keystrokes (SendInput), which most games and remote sessions accept even when Ctrl+V is blocked. Note that some multiplayer anti-cheat systems block all synthetic input, so it may not work for automating live gameplay keys.

Will it type into a remote desktop?

Yes. Because it types character-by-character as keystrokes, it works over RDP/VNC and in virtual machines, where copy-paste from the host often fails.

Is it safe? Why does my antivirus flag it?

The app is clean and open source. Because it's a small, brand-new, unsigned tool that simulates keystrokes, some antivirus engines occasionally show a generic machine-learning warning for that behavior — the same as most auto-typers and macro tools. You can read every line of the source on GitHub.
