Auto Type Program for Windows

Auto Typer Studio is a free Windows utility that types your saved text snippets into any window on a hotkey. Unlike paste, it sends real keystrokes character by character — landing in game chat, remote desktop sessions, and form fields where clipboard fails.

Why an Auto Type Program Instead of Paste

When you paste with Ctrl+V, the clipboard content lands in the active window's memory. That works fine for most places. But game chat windows, remote desktop consoles, virtual machines, and legacy form apps often block or strip clipboard data entirely.

An auto type program sidesteps that. It sends keystrokes at the operating-system level — exactly what the keyboard hardware does when you type manually. The receiving app sees individual key events, not clipboard interference. Game chat accepts it. RDP consoles accept it. Kiosk terminals accept it.

Auto Typer Studio does this: you bind each snippet to a hotkey (F2, Ctrl+Shift+Q, whatever), click into the target window, press the hotkey, and watch the text type itself in.

How to Set Up an Auto Type Program

  1. Download the zip and run the installer. Get the app from autotyperstudio.com. Download the zip and run the installer (Windows may ask for permission once).
  2. Add your first snippet. Click Add Snippet, give it a name (e.g. 'Trade List'), paste your text, and bind a hotkey (e.g. F12 or Ctrl+Shift+T).
  3. Click into the target window. Move focus to the chat, form, or console where the text should land.
  4. Press the hotkey. The snippet types itself at a default pace. Adjust speed later if needed using the slider (30 to 3000 characters per minute).

Common Uses for an Auto Type Program

Game chat: long slash-commands, canned trade listings, or repeated faction messages that clip doesn't accept.

Remote desktop and virtual machines: RDP sessions, VNC, VirtualBox, and VMware often reject pastes but accept typed input.

Support and sales work: the same five canned responses sent dozens of times daily, each on its own hotkey.

Web form filling: address, email, phone number, or account details entered into identical form fields across multiple pages.

Code and config: SQL boilerplate, HTML scaffolding, shell one-liners you reach for twice an hour.

Multi-line text in chat: snippets preserve line breaks, so emails and formatted messages land correctly even in clients that send on Enter.

Control the Typing Speed and Timing

By default, the auto type program fires immediately when you hit the hotkey. But sometimes you need a pause — a moment to click into the right field, or to wait for a dialog to open.

Use the startup delay setting to add that buffer. Set it to 1 or 2 seconds and the app will wait after the hotkey fires before the text begins typing.

Typing speed is adjustable from 30 to 3000 characters per minute via a slider. Slow speeds (30–100 CPM) feel interactive and match human typing. Fast speeds (1500+ CPM) are for throughput: filling a hundred form fields in minutes. Experiment to find what each target app accepts without glitching.

Multi-line snippets type with correct line breaks intact, so your formatting survives.

Common Questions

Does this work in online games?

Keystrokes are sent at OS level and simulate a physical keyboard. It repeats normal keyboard and mouse input without injecting anything into the game, and players check the game rules themselves.

How do I install it?

Download the zip and run the installer. Windows may ask for permission once.

Can I have multiple snippets with different hotkeys?

Yes. Create as many snippets as you need — each with its own name, hotkey, and text. No limits.

Does it need internet or an account?

No. The app is completely offline. No telemetry, no update pings, no account required. Download once and use it forever.
